Tulips

In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” I Thessalonians 5:18

Tulips are my favorite flower.  These flowers are so beautiful to me and they come in so many beautiful colors.  I do not have a Green Thumb like my late grandmother, Louise, but I love looking at pretty flowers, and tulips are my favorite.

The way they look when you see the bloom is beautiful, but when they open or “awaken”, they are even more attractive.  I am beginning to look at people that are near and dear to me as “tulips”.

I have lost many loved ones and friends in 2020 just as I know some of you have; my heart goes out to each of you.  God has even healed myself and some close family members from COVID-19, something I cannot thank Him enough for.  When I stop and think on these things, it makes me even more thankful and appreciative for those that are still in my life…the “tulips” in my life.

Who are the “tulips” in your life?  The Word of God tells us in I Thessalonians 5:18, “In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”  Give thanks for and don’t take for granted the people that are in your life.  Spend time with them, call them, write them, send them a card, do something special for them.  Let them know you love them and appreciate them.  If you need to forgive someone, forgive them.  Ask God to help you but don’t waste precious time, instead be thankful and appreciative and enjoy the “tulips” in your life while you can.
